Code Of Ethics
In recent years there has been a dramatic increase in coaching providers, but at present (2005) there is still very little regulation in the Coaching industry (as with most industries there will always be companies who aren’t experienced or knowledgeable enough and shouldn’t really be working within their chosen field). Because of this concerned members of the coaching community are gathering support for standards within our field to maintain quality and to maintain the good reputation for coaching within the UK. As a Member of the Association of Coaching, Spark subscribe to their Code of Ethics, not only as a means for preparation for eventual regulation but also as a professional standard on which to measure itself against. You can view the Code of Ethics at the Association of Coaching website as well as information about joining the association and you can also add your voice to the lobby. http://www.associationforcoaching.com/ Join Association for Coaching’s Co Coaching Forum We are committed to the development of coaching from an industry into a profession. We are therefore involved in the promotion of good practise within the northwest in particular. Julia Menaul is the Group facilitator for the Northwest Co Coaching forum which meets every 6 weeks in Warrington.
