Spark Group Coaching Supervision is Coming to Stafford!

A new Coaching Supervision Group

A New Coaching Supervision/Reflective Practise Group in Stafford

We’re excited to announce our new coaching supervision group in Stafford which starts on 18th September 2014. It’ll be based on the highly successful format of Spark Group Manchester which has been running for the last two years.

Coaching Supervision for coaches is now a growing need with more corporate clients and associate consultancies expecting coaches to be in regular supervision. Accreditation and membership of coaching bodies is also driving the need for a supervisor. When you attend one of our group supervision sessions, we’ll provide you with a certificate of attendance for your CPD log.

“And many coaches tell us that Group supervision is a more cost effective way to get this important supervision.

The initial session will be a ‘Taster’ to allow you to see if group supervision suits your needs. Attendance will also allow you to help to shape the design of the group and its process – how often we meet (probably every 6 – 8 weeks), how we work together, what type of areas we want supervision on, and anything else that arises.

All the sessions will be facilitated by me with occasional guest supervisors. However, although I will be the official group supervisor, the group will be run as a peer learning community. The dynamics of the group will provide a rich and fertile ground for personal and professional development. This group will offer supervision plus personal and interpersonal development.

What sort of topics do we talk about at Spark Group Coaching Supervision?

You and your practise:

  • Who are you as a coach?
  • What kind of supervision is useful for a coach
  • What is the nature of the relationship between you and your client?
  • Who are the clients you connect with best?
  • Who are the clients wherein connection is less easy?
  • What are the areas you feel less comfortable coaching?
  • How to terminate a client relationship that is not working well.

Broader coaching issues:

  • Coaching relationship boundaries
  • How to deal with a situation that is outside of current expertise – building resilience
  • Working with clients who have deeper issues
  • Coaching/counselling/mentoring understanding the difference.
  • Projections
  • Support for accreditation
  • Feelings of the coach related to client.
